Bulk delete in Quicken, Sage 50 and Zoho Books

Our tool is for QuickBooks Online. This page is the honest state of the same job in the neighbouring software — what is native, what needs the API, and where nothing self-serve exists at all.

Read this first

Multi-Delete supports QuickBooks Online only. Nothing on this page is a promise of support for Quicken, Sage, Zoho or anything else. It is here because the question — “how do I get rid of hundreds of these without clicking hundreds of times?” — is asked about every accounting package, and because what we find out here decides whether a second connector is ever worth building.

Sage 50

No native bulk delete. Sage’s own community forum carries the question directly — “it seems the transactions cannot be bulk deleted, is this correct” — and the answer is yes, that is correct. We found no purpose-built delete tool for Sage 50 either.

Sage 50 is a desktop-era product, which shapes the whole job: cleanup tends to mean working on the data file rather than through a web service, and the practical routes are manual or file-level. If you are on Sage 50 today, plan for that; there is no product to buy that removes the clicking.

Sage Business Cloud Accounting

No general bulk delete in the UI. Items and services in particular cannot be bulk deleted, especially once transactions have been posted against them. We did not find a delete tool on the Sage marketplace, and the marketplace itself is thin — most listings carry no ratings at all.

Honest limit: the native gap here is confirmed, but we have not tested Sage’s API for a delete path. “No deleter found” means not found in our check, not proven not to exist.

Zoho Books

Partial, and API-only. Zoho documents bulk invoice deletion through its API, and the interface has bulk update plus some banking bulk actions — but there is no general “select these transactions and delete them” tool in the product. We found no purpose-built deleter for Zoho Books.

The difference from Sage matters. On Sage 50 there is no route at all; on Zoho Books the capability exists for anyone who can write a script. So the gap is not the operation, it is a safe, no-code way to perform it — which is the same gap QuickBooks Online has, in a smaller marketplace.

Quicken

Quicken is a different species from the rest of this page: desktop personal-finance software, with no hosted API for a web tool to act on. Whatever bulk cleanup it offers is local and manual. We have not verified this against a current Quicken version, so we are not going to make detailed claims about it — treat that as a gap in this page rather than a finding.

The other platforms worth naming

PlatformBulk delete state
MYOBNo self-serve option found. The only product we found is a service that scripts keystrokes in the desktop UI, with a minimum fee of AUD $660 plus a custom quote.
XeroPartial and native: draft invoices delete in bulk from the list view, and account transactions use Remove & redo. Approved or paid invoices have to be voided, and an established paid app already covers delete.
QuickBooks DesktopNative: Intuit ships a Batch delete or void transactions tool in the Accountant Edition, and a third-party deleter covers it as well.

Checked 27 September 2026, from vendor sites, community threads and marketplace pages. Marketplace ratings for some of these platforms were not readable during the check — “not found” is not “does not exist”.

Why we are not promising support for any of them

QuickBooks Online made sense because three things lined up at once: there is no native bulk delete, it is the largest of these platforms, and the one purpose-built deleter for it is the worst-rated product in its own category. That combination has not shown up anywhere else. The rule we hold ourselves to is that a second connector needs its own evidence, not an assumption that the QuickBooks gap repeats — and this page is part of how that evidence gets gathered. If it earns search impressions, that is a signal; if it flatlines, the answer is a quiet no.

What is the same on every platform

If you are on QuickBooks Online

Then the job is covered properly on our main bulk-delete page — the native limits, the manual routes, the export-first rule and the paid tools’ prices — with more detail on journal entries, invoices and recurring transactions, and the API itself.

Questions people actually ask

Can you bulk delete transactions in Sage 50?

Not natively. Sage’s own community thread on the subject confirms it — users ask whether transactions can be bulk deleted and the answer is no. We found no purpose-built delete tool for Sage 50 either. It is a desktop-era product, so cleanup is a manual, file-level job.

Can you bulk delete transactions in Sage Business Cloud Accounting?

Not in the UI. Sage Business Cloud has no general bulk-delete — items and services in particular cannot be bulk deleted, especially once they have activity against them. We did not find a delete tool on its marketplace either, and the store itself is thin. The gap looks real, but we have not tested the API.

Can you bulk delete transactions in Zoho Books?

Partly, and only through the API. Zoho documents bulk invoice deletion via its API, and the UI has bulk update and some banking bulk actions — but there is no general “delete these transactions” tool in the interface. We found no purpose-built deleter for Zoho Books. So the gap is not raw capability, it is a no-code, safety-first way to do what the API can already do.

Can you bulk delete transactions in Quicken?

Quicken is desktop personal-finance software with no hosted API for a web tool to act on, so any bulk cleanup is a local, manual job. We have not verified the specifics against a current Quicken version, so this page does not make detailed claims about it.

Does Multi-Delete work with Quicken, Sage or Zoho?

No. Multi-Delete is a QuickBooks Online tool only. This page exists because the job is the same everywhere and the honest state of it is worth writing down — not because support for these platforms is coming. A second connector would need its own evidence first, and this page is part of how we would gather it.

Which platform might you support next?

MYOB, if the evidence ever justifies it. Of everything we checked, MYOB is the only platform with no self-serve option at all: the sole product we found is a keystroke-scripting service with a minimum fee of AUD $660 plus a custom quote. Xero already handles the easy case natively and QuickBooks Desktop ships a native batch delete, so both are weaker candidates.
